The final ENGAGE conference took place on the 24th of September 2014 at the Congress center Brdo pri Kranju in Slovenia.
About 100 participants took part in the conference, from more than 20 countries. Invited and partner speakers gave inspiring and motivational speeches. The conference started with welcome speech from Marjan Turk (Director General at Ministry of Education, Science & Sport) and a video message from Neelie Kroes (Vice-President of the European Commission). Followed by talks about how the ENGAGE project started, the results achieved during the 3 years of the project, expectations and the benefits of a fully connected Europe. The presentations were complemented with panel discussions debating how best to ensure that all of Europe has access to High Speed Broadband.
The conference was live streamed by the multimedia team of the Laboratory for Telecommunications (LTFE), thus reaching a wide audience outside the conference hall. LTFE prepared also video and audio presentations, which anyone can see also after the conference, making the viewer feel like he was at the conference himself.
We kindly invite you to take a look at the video and audio presentations from the conference here by clicking on the title Engage 2014.
This is possible due to e-CHO, a web-based e-learning platform, which enables creation of specific content type, consisting of synchronized video lecture with additional multimedia material, such as slides, documents, or other video.
