Jaakko Hallila (born in 1981) has a M. Sc. (admin.) degree in EU administration. He is specialized in international EU funded projects and has also research, teaching and incubator background in health care entrepreneurship. He has also studies from the USA. Part of his studies he did in Sciences Po Paris in France. During his studies he worked as a journalist. The training required for his degree he did in the Department of Western Europe in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki. After graduation he worked as a researcher for the Department of the Management of University of Vaasa. During that year he also started his research for the Health Care Entrepreneurship. After his job as a researcher he was running the first Health Care Incubator Center in South Ostrobothnia. Administered by Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, the center provided education, practical help and business knowledge for the health care professionals willing to start their own entreprise. His career in the Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia he started in 2007. His first occupation in the regional council was a Regional Planning Officer. During the time he worked in the Regional Council he has written the Internationalization Strategy for the Region in co-operation with the main regional actors. He has experience in applying funds from various international financing sources and has worked as a project manager for several Interreg funded projects. At the moment he works as a manager of international projects for Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia. During the years he has worked for the Regional Council South Ostrobothnia has become the Council with most international projects in Finland. Since 2010 he has also been a Lecturer of Entrepreneurship for the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
